Michaels & Associates – Kentucky Division is headquartered in Louisville. Established in 1985 as Dennery Enterprises, our Kentucky Division has held a prominent, successful presence as the leading foodservice sales agency in that market for more than 22 years.

1985: Dennery Enterprises, Inc. is established by Harry Dennery in Louisville, Kentucky

1990: Associated Food Brokers organization is merged into Dennery Enterprises

1991: L. T. Caine Brokerage is merged into Dennery Enterprises

1994: Moncreif-Morgan brokerage company is acquired by Dennery Enterprises

2001: Dennery Enterprises, Inc., the leading foodservice sales & marketing agency in Kentucky, forges a strategic corporate partnership with Michaels & Associates, Inc., headquartered in Michigan.

2007: Dennery Enterprises Inc. business name transitions to Michaels & Associates – Kentucky (Dennery) Division

Harry Dennery

     Harry was born in New Orleans, graduated from Washington & Lee University, served honorably and with recognition in the US Army, and began his foodservice career at the Charles Dennery Company in 1970. In 1976 Harry made his first entrepreneurial step, starting Dennery Home Beverage Delivery Company in Atlanta. Two successful years later Harry sold the business and moved to Louisville, Kentucky as Sales Manager for Besco Products. In 1980 he started his second business as master distributor for SAF Instant Yeast, covering 13 States by establishing a warehousing and agency network. The business grew ten-fold and was acquired by the manufacturer five years later.

     Harry established Dennery Enterprises, Inc. in January, 1985 with representation of one manufacturer and a zero sales base. Dennery Enterprises grew consistently over the next 16 years in people, presence, and representation, perpetuating that trend forward in 2001 when a strategic partnership was forged with Michaels & Associates, Inc. in Michigan.

     Today, Harry is still actively involved in the Michaels & Associates – Kentucky Division business, focusing his time and sales efforts on further developing existing key customer relationships and securing new business opportunities for the Company.
